On Monday, October 14, Westview volleyball celebrated senior night for their 2026 class. They played Omaha North High and made it a quick three set sweep with a victory for their seniors.
The volleyball coaches and parents worked to help the seniors have their special night. In the commons outside of the gym, balloons and posters were set up for each senior. They included their numbers and a photo of them as children. This was a special way for each senior to be honored and seen before even going into the gym.
Before the game, seniors lined up with their escorts to walk in front of the crowd and be recognized. They walked through a tunnel of other supportive volleyball players. The freshmen and JV teams surrounded the players and their escorts and cheered for each of them.
As the seniors walked in front of the crowd, their names and their future plans were announced and all seniors had their name heard and cheered for. Emotions were high for the seniors throughout the ceremony.

After the senior festivities had ended, the volleyball game began. The first set ended quickly, with Westview defeating North 25-6.
The second set went in a similar direction, ending with 25-9.
During set 3, North made a strong attempt to win a set, but Westview came out on top with a win 25-15.
This sweep by Westview volleyball was a great way to celebrate the class of 2026 and recognize them for the impact they have had on this program.
