On Saturday, October 11, Westview fall baseball team faced off against back-to-back opponents, finishing their season with two straight wins and an 8-9 record.

In their first match, the Wolverines faced Ultimate Baseball Academy (UBA) 16U. In a close game with three lead changes, Westview emerged victorious 7-5.
Luke Petersen, 10, starred in the first competition, with two hits and three RBIs batting along with six strikeouts and zero allowed runs on the mound.
“It was a great weekend to cap off a great fall season, and we’re all ready to go for the spring,” Petersen said.

In the second game, the Wolverines put on a show, with a 14-0 defeat over the Nebraska Canes. Grant Kelly, 10, collected three hits in his three at bats, while Hayden Simmons, 10, scored twice with an RBI (Run Batted In) as well.
“Fall ball was very fun and me and my teammates had really good time. Even though we had lots of fun, we all took it serious and hopefully it helped us get ready for next season,” Simmons said.
As Westview Fall Ball comes to an end, the team gets some well-deserved rest after seven straight months of games and prepares for their spring season.
