Vala’s pumpkin patch, a place where everyone in Nebraska has probably been to at least once with friends, family, and their significant other. It’s also a place I have enjoyed ever since I was a kid. Located in Gretna, NE, Vala’s isn’t just a pumpkin patch. It’s a place with multiple attractions and amazing food to eat.
Even though Vala’s is an amazing place, it’s a big price to pay just to get in, and that cost goes up when you include food and other items.
The tickets are the main problem because from Monday-Thursday the prices are $24.99 per person. That’s already 50 dollars out of your pocket if you are going with another person. From Friday-Sunday, it’s $42.99 which is $86.00 rounded up if you’re paying for two people.
So, you think paying for the extreme prices everything the park would be either free or 50% off, right? Everything else except for the rides cost money. The food is overpriced and you’re going to need a minimum of 20 dollars. The stuff at the gift shop is expensive except for their kettle popcorn, which is the best in my opinion.
You are probably going to spend over $150 on weekdays, which isn’t ideal for a lot of people. You’re also probably going to spend over $200 on the weekends.
I also believe that a lot of people like to go on weekdays since it’s way cheaper. But it is hard for most people to get there during the week because parents and adults have work, they would have to take time off and kids under eighteen all have school to attend.
With these insane prices at Vala’s, I believe that the company will lose a lot of money. There are other establishments that do the same thing, and they are cheaper than Vala’s.
Vala’s is a great place to go when I was a kid but now instead of having fun, I’m worried about making sure I have enough money to get in, eat some of the good food, and leave with the signature kettle popcorn.
