The Westview Cross Country Team ran in their first meet of the season at the Gretna Invitational on Saturday and found some success as they enter the beginning of the Cross Country season.
The team placed second at the Gretna Invitational and had several medalists, 19 out of 23 runners PR’d.
Senior Colin Krahling earned a runner-up spot running a time of 16:28, falling just short of 1st place by about 12 seconds.
Senior Ryan Sturgeon got sixth place with a time of 17:32 and Junior Titus Tipler followed right behind him with a time of 17:42 to round out the top 3 Wolverines. The rest of the top 6 runners got 13th, 14th, and 19th place.
The team is showing is showing improvement from where they were at last year and not just a select few runners earning them points as they continue to improve and grow as a team.
