On September 16, Westview Boys Tennis faced Millard West in a duel at Koch Tennis Center. Westview ended the meet losing 3 matches to 6 but had strong performances from many players.

Micah Cortinas, 11, won both his matches, adding on to his impressive season so far. He won his singles match 8-3, and doubles match with Jackson Mehuron, 9, 8-2. Cortinas has an 18-1 record so far this year and is on pace for an amazing season.
Zachary Kavan, 12, is currently injured and watching his teammates play from the stands. He has been a member of the team for all four of his high school years, since the team first started out.
“Our team has been playing well this season. I love watching us as we have improved over the years,” Kavan said.
So far, the Wolverine tennis team has collected multiple third place finishes and impressive performances at their duels. Westview’s next match takes the team to Ryder Park in Grand Island, for a multiple school match.
