In June 2025, the Omaha Public Schools district approved a plan to purchase eight acres of land just southeast of Westview High for $1.2 million. The land will serve as another avenue of enrichment for students of the district, according to reports done by KETV and Omaha World Herald.
This purchase comes almost 10 years after the land that Westview was built on was sold to OPS for $1.3 Million. Since its opening in 2022, Westview High has expanded to 1500 students, with over 80 staff members.
Nothing has been revealed about what the future holds for this land. With its proximity to the home of the Wolverines, fellow students of the orange and blue are left wondering what will become of this abundance of land.
