To give back to the community, Westview has coined parts of November and December a “month of giving.”
The goal is to get the entire school involved in helping the community. For each drive, students will engage in competetions against their peers of who can donate more.

From November 10-18, there was a diaper drive to support the Nebraska Diaper Bank. The competition was between Freshman Academy teams orange, black, and blue, but anyone in the school could donate. The team that had the most diapers donated got a point for their team.
From the weeks of November 19-December 4, all Westview advisements will compete to see who can collect the most non-perishable food items. There will be donation boxes in each homeroom, and whichever has the most items will win a prize.
Last, December 8-12, each grade will compete to bring the most hats, mittens and socks. There will be donation boxes in the office and counseling center for each grade. The grade who brings the most items will earn a prize.
Although there are specific times for the drives, items will be accepted all month.
