The 2025 “It’s Time” video, released at midnight on November 1. It opens with Mariah Carey, dressed in an elegant white angel costume.
“Halloween “slayed” but now, “it’s time” for the Christmas season to begin.” She says.
Her moment is interrupted when she discovers her glam room is destroyed and demands to know who did it.
Comedian Billy Eichner then appears, dressed as an elf and holding her Sephora beauty products.
“Bad news, Mariah Carey, the elves are striking this year.”
He tries to cancel Christmas by grabbing her lipstick and yelling, “No bells, no cheer, no glam!
Unfazed, Mariah fires back, “You can’t cancel Christmas!” Eichner asks if she has any last words, she simply says, “Yeah.”
Then the iconic opening notes of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” begin to play. Mariah uses her festive power to freeze the elf in a block of ice, officially starting the holiday season.
