I had the opportunity to see Wicked For Good in Theaters before it is official released around the world.
First, I am going to give my rating over the movie itself. I’m giving it a 10/10 overall.
I saw the Wicked play the last time it came to Omaha, so I already had knowledge of what was going to happen in the movie. My pre knowledge of the broadway play in a way set a bar for the movie, this meaning that I was watching the movie having in mind the scenes from the play competing with how they decided to play out the scenes in the movie.
When I tell you every scene was phenomenal and exceeded my expectations, words cannot describe how magnificent it was to see each scene.
From the first 5 minutes to the last 5 minutes, they did a wonderful job at executing not only their lines and their voices in each song, but the chemistry between Ariana and Cynthia was also immaculate.
I will say that the songs in Part Two were not as good as the songs in the first part.
Im saying this because I feel like a lot of the songs had a sad and more intense vibe to it much like overall film, which is the whole point.
“For Good” has a whole different tone than the first movie. I will say that they dive into a darker side of Oz and the film had a darker tone overall.
“For Good” made me feel more for Glinda this time around as they showed more of her background and she easily became my favorite character. Ariana Grande was the best pick for this role.
I would recommend not bringing kids under the age of 6 for the first watch just to be safe because the second film is drastically different than the first.
The movie is certainly worth the money, and you will not just see it once in theaters, you will want to see it repeatedly, I know I do.
